Being the sixth largest country in the world, Australia has a lot to offer. From the renowned Great Barrier Reef on the east coast, to the island state of Tasmania, you will have a hard time picking which destination to choose.

Each area of Australia offers a variety of diving adventures that could take years to explore. Here are the top 10 diving spots in Australia that you should not miss out on.

1. Fraser Island

World Heritage-listed Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world. Also called the whale watch capital of the world, this place is unique for its rainforests that grow on sand dunes at elevations of over 200 meters.

There are around 20 sites in the area worth exploring. Artificial reefs and wrecks are in good condition, and you can expect to see blue parrotfish, snapper, cod, jacks, turtles, sharks, rays and sea snakes. 2. Heron Island

4. Ningaloo Reef
